Mukanduiiye Vestina is 15 years old and lives in Nyarbuye, Rwanda with her mother, father and brother. She attends the Ecolé Primary School and hopes to be a medical assistant.

Muiangana Jackison is also 15 years old and lives with his mom, dad, and three other relatives in Nyarbuye. He attends the Ecolé Primary School.

Nogoga Jean Pierre drew this picture. Jean Pierre is 11 years old and attends the Muhima Primary School in Kigali. He lives with his mother and four brothers and sisters, his father is no longer alive.

Niwemugeni Ildegaride lives at the Gisimba Orphanage in Kigali. She is 11 years old and came to live at Gisimba in 2002. Her drawing reflects her Catholic beliefs.

Haban’abashaka Khalim created this image. Khalim is 16 years old. He lives in Kigali at the Gisimba Orphanage, he's lived there since 2004. He lived in exile in Uganda, then returned to Rwanda to live with his grandmother, when she died he found that living by himself was too difficult, so he came to Gisimba where he is cared for and has created strong friendships with some of the other children who live there. He loves music and wants to be a hip-hop star. His drawing depicts his admiration for the US, and his desire for his country (Rwanda) to mend its relationship with the US.

Ndacyayisenba Aine is 15 years old, he lives at the Gisimba Orphanage and attends Muhima Primary School.
